Dr. Dan Johnson is a general and laparoscopic surgeon in private practice in Maryville, IL. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Peoria. He completed his surgery residency at the University of Illinois general surgery program at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He now joins Dr. Charles Lane & Dr. Richard Wikiera in practice after spending 26 years practicing in both the private and corporate practice fields in the Quad Cities of northwestern Illinois.
Dr. Johnson is Board Certified in General Surgery and he has recertified in 2001 and 2011. He has had a long association with the American College of Surgeons, serving as both the Illinois Chapter president and as a governor at large for the state of Illinois, representing downstate Illinois surgeons in the national organization. His other memberships have included, The American Burn Association, The Midwest Surgical Society, and the AMA.
He is experienced in providing a broad range of surgical treatment including abdominal surgery, hernia repair, colon surgery, breast cancer treatment and colonoscopy. He has also had significant experience in laparoscopic surgery including gallbladder disease, laparoscopic colon resection and laparoscopic hernia repair.

She received her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner at Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. She is also a graduate of Millikin University with a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing.
